You can never have a happy ending at the end of an unhappy journey; it just doesn't work out that way. The way you're feeling, along the way, is the way you're continuing to pre-pave your journey, and it's the way it's going to continue to turn out until you do something about the way you are feeling.

I stopped in LA for a long weekend before what looks like will be an extended period of travel. I'l be off to New York, New Jersey and Canada through the end of October. Ryan and I hung out for most of the weekend - catching up with the Disney people on Friday - the folks I worked for last summer in their new Pasadena office. We put away about ten bottles of wine with Greg on Friday night with a crew of models. Paula is in a workshop this weekend and has been scarce. Luca and Luigi were in from Italy and provided yet another fascinating look at the world's diversity. Greg and Ben and David and a maybe even Catherine Bach will gather tomorrow for dinner in Venice at Via Venito - a great Italian Restaurant.
